WELCOME
Welcome to the web site of Citizens Against Pornography (CAP), an interfaith community organization began in 1989 to alert and educate the public to the problem, scale and dangers of pornography. All visitors are welcome to browse the site and learn more about the activities of CAP.
CAP, as you can see, is a very active committee. Its members work together to advocate a return to the neglected standards of decency and morality in print, television, film, music, and on the Internet. CAP provides parents with timely resources and know-how to help them protect their families from all levels of pornography. Currently CAP is actively addressing issues such as "sexting" a common practice among teens where obscene photographs and messages are sent via cell phones. CAP is also working to help make families aware of the types of obscene material accessible to young children in public libraries.
Members of CAP play an active, political role, in both state and local government to ensure that laws are enacted and then enforced, and in particular they seek to protect minors from obscenity. But, as you will see from browsing the site, CAP is not alone in its efforts and either is affiliated through its members with other pro-family organizations or works with organizations with similar objectives.
We invite you to visit us if we can be of service or if you wish to engage in the struggle against those who are destroying our society through the distribution of pornography. The challenge is great but it is one that CAP members willingly accept in order to make society better for the children and grandchildren.
Membership is free! If you would like to attend our next meeting, contact CAP Chairman at contact.
